Zik4 1987

Outdoor performance by ZikGroup
About Zik4
In 1987 the group prepared for the next Acre festival. This time Zik planned a giant wooden leopard that was based on a detailed 3-D model. The sculpture was built using the wood remains of the last show ("To Hell with Zik"). A costumed procession led to the shoreline where the transformation of the sculptural elements took place along with the group's traditional setting of fire.
In the case of Zik 4, the different parts of the leopard came from the sea, on a fishing boat of a local fisherman. The leopard was assembled on shore, where the group members were situated wearing yellow overalls. Eventually the leopard was put together, blue white smoke came out of its mouth and it was set on fire.
